The Certified Mulligan Practitioner (CMP) process is a unique professional development pathway designed to enhance your clinical reasoning and manual therapy skills for the direct benefit of your patients. This certification provides a structured opportunity to deepen your knowledge and refine your practical application of the Mulligan Concept®. Through a formal learning process followed by peer-reviewed written and practical examination, clinicians demonstrate competence and confidence in delivering effective, evidence-informed care.
Certified Mulligan Practitioners (CMPs) serve as a trusted referral source for both healthcare professionals and the general public seeking treatment from clinicians who have demonstrated a recognized level of competence in the Mulligan Concept®. Successful CMPs are eligible to be listed on the official international website www.bmulligan.com, as well as regional Mulligan Concept® websites—enhancing professional visibility and credibility within the manual therapy community.
The CMP credentialing process includes both a didactic (written) and manual skills (practical) assessment, reflecting the high standards expected of practitioners using the Mulligan Concept®. A minimum score of 80% is required to pass, ensuring each clinician demonstrates a strong command of both clinical reasoning and hands-on technique.
Upon successful completion of the examination, candidates are formally recognized as Certified Mulligan Practitioners (CMPs) and may use the CMP designation in professional practice.
Important Notice on Teaching Eligibility
Passing the Certified Mulligan Practitioner (CMP) examination does not grant the right to teach Mulligan Concept® courses. CMPs are not authorized or recognized by the Mulligan Concept® Teachers Association (MCTA) to provide formal instruction or represent the MCTA in any teaching capacity.
Only instructors who have completed the MCTA’s formal teacher training and accreditation process are permitted to teach official Mulligan Concept® courses.
